Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was only 19 years old when she received the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. It was a remarkable feat, not just because Krauss was young, but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her collection. Too Late to Cry was the first album she released when the Champaign Illinois resident's age of sixteen. Krauss had signed with Rounder Records, one of the top folk labels, at the age of fourteen. The accomplishments of Krauss's talent at such a young age and stunning virtuosity, have been measured by her devotion to bluegrass. The oldest and possibly the most neglected, of traditional American form of musical expression. Krauss became a mature performer and producer who had grown from being a teenage sensation.
